Plumber Greenwich Sharing a Short Story
Sue’s 15 year old daughter, Ruby was completing a high school project on Australia’s natural resources when she suggested the family install a rain water tank during dinner. Ruby explained how she had been studying the severe weather conditions that people particularly in the bush had to face, while often people in the city take our water supply for granted.
“Dad, how come they are building more houses but not building any new dams?” Ruby asked. “Money would be the main reason, then selecting the best site for a new dam would upset some people.” “Well if we can’t build more dams why doesn’t everyone have a rain water tank?” Ruby said. “People can’t always afford to install a tank.” Ruby went on to ask if their family could afford to install a tank and the father agreed that they could.
After a lengthy discussion the family came to the decision that it made a lot of sense to install a rain water tank. The tank would help to save them money on their water for the garden and topping up the pool as well as helping the environment.
Sue contacted the local Greenwich plumber who organised a convenient time to access the property and Decide on the best tank to install and where to install it. They decided on a slim tank that fitted neatly against the house. The tank was also a similar colour to the fence so after a while the family barely noticed it was ever there.
During the summer months they were able to water their garden without breaching the water restrictions and they were doing their bit for the environment whilst saving money on mains water, it was a win, win situation for everyone.
Installing a rainwater tank is an easy way to save money and is beneficial to the environment. It increases value to your home and lowers the volume of mains water used around the home. Call us for expert service on 0402 069 804
